Grandma's birthday dinner

Oh, wouldn't it be nice to see pictures of Grandma's birthday dinner at Olive Garden? Yes, yes it would. BUT, I only have one! What a crock. I took my camera out to take some, but my mouth was running non-stop the entire time (yeah, surprise surprise), so I only turned the thing on once. SO unlike me....the camera comment, not the mouth running the entire time.

It was a pleasant dinner with some of mom's friends, Grandpa, Megan, Daddy, and drum roll: in person, from Brownsville...Granna and Double G! They traveled up here as a surprise to Grandma, and surprised she was. Nice one! We ate yummy food and had a nice variety of conversation around the table. Megan gave Grandma her present: aquareene pajama bottoms, a fuschia pajama top, and "jaguar" (leopard) slippers. Guess who picked all of that out, despite my arguments? Grandma was a good sport and professed to love them while Megan beamed. Megan informed me today that Grandma's birthday is not over yet because we didn't have cake, so we'll have to take care of that this weekend.

Although it could be a separate post I'll tack it on here; Granna and Double G came bearing gifts for us even though it wasn't one of our birthdays. Megan got a Halloween pop-up book that she loves already. Between getting home at 11:30 p.m. and rushing out the door for school this morning, we haven't actually sat down to read the words. But she has reminded me no less than 15 times that it is there for after school today. Also, "Little Bump" (as this baby is affectionately termed) got a bag of size 1 diapers! Whoo hoo! The gift that keeps on giving...And, oh by the way, that is officially the first item purchased for this baby. Thank you!
